Students in the Tyler Catholic School System have strong involvement in competitive interscholastic extracurricular activities. Over ninety-five percent of the student body participates in one or more school-related activity. Opportunities exist in the System for participation in academic and dramatic competitions, choir competition, the Academic Rodeo, speech tournaments, spelling bees, science fairs, visual arts competitions as well as participation in many athletic teams which include: drill team, cheerleading, football, baseball, soccer, track and field, cross country, tennis, golf, volleyball, wrestling and basketball.

The Tyler Catholic Schools strongly encourage active involvement in teams, clubs and organizations, many of which provide students an opportunity to compete interscholastically with peers. These groups provide healthy opportunities for students to build positive, responsible socialization skills in a constructive format.
